Serious Crash on Larches Lane

A serious road traffic accident occurred on Larches Lane in Preston this evening at 17.02.

The collision involved the number 89 from Preston Bus which services the Larches Estate, a car and a LGV. Emergency services were called and quickly on the scene. Metal cutting equipment had to be used by the rescue operations to free people trapped in their car.

Air ambulance and a police helicopter attended taking two of the people involved in the accident to the Royal Preston Hospital where they are said to have suffered serious injuries. Another two were taken to the hospital by ambulance. One of the injured is said to have been aboard the bus.

Onlookers have reported that the accident looked ‘horrendous’.
