Valentino King will be performing on the Flag Market
Preston’s Pride Festival will return on the last weekend of September.
The Flag Market will be filled for a colourful celebration by the city’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transexual community.
Chairman of the festival committee, Steven Griffin, said the first festival last year had been such a success they had no choice but to bring it back.
He told the Lancashire Evening Post: “I think it is going to be bigger, louder and prouder than last year.
“It is all family oriented, there’s lots of different things happening this year.
“There will be a young people and families chill out youth zone, we’ve got the One Voice Choir and the Preston Musical Comedy Society.”
The Pride Festival will take place on Saturday 28 September from 12pm and ll events are free of charge.
Performers will include the likes of drag act Valentino King.
An official after-party will take place at Rumes Bar and Nightclub on Church Street in association with Hangout Harry.
