A choir made up of volunteers from Preston will be performing on Tuesday afternoon.

As part of the Preston Open Mind festival the county council’s Voices for Volunteers choir will be live at Fulwood Methodist Church.

Veronica Redmond from the volunteer service said: “Our choir is made up of staff, carers, clients and volunteers. Music and singing can make a positive difference to your mental health.

“People are very welcome to come along on the day to find out how volunteering could help them or how to become a volunteer. You even join in with the singing.”

The singing will take place from 2pm and 4pm and information about volunteering through the county council will also be available.
