The stone statues at Bluebell Way are likely to see many developments in the coming years
A new pub restaurant could be built just outside Preston on the Bluebell Way.
An application for a new business area at Junction 31a of the M6 and along Bluebell Way will be debated at the city council’s planning committee.
Plans from Bookhouse Developments show the area would become 16 new business units as well as a pub and restaurant.
A supporting statement document for the application states: “The development will make an important contribution to economic development.
“Not only will the premises be developed which will facilitate the creation of several hundred jobs, but the construction period itself will make an important controbution towards the local economy in the short term.”
Other developments in the area such as a new Girl Guides headquarters have already been approved by the council.
The plans will be heard at the planning committee on Monday 30 September at the Town Hall from 10am.
The full plans are available to view on the council website.
