Police are appealing for information after a 14-year-old girl has gone missing from her home in Ingol.
Shelby Smith was last seen by her mother near to B&M Bargains in the city centre.
She was due to return home at 5pm on Monday 12 August but her mother hasn’t seen her since 2.15pm.
Lancashire Police say it is possible she has made her way to the Blackpool area and could be in the company of a 19-year-old man who is described as white, 5ft 10″, very slim, blue eyes and a shaved head.
Inspector Bilal Mulla said: “Shelby is vulnerable due to her age so I would appeal to anybody that thinks they have seen her or knows where she could be to contact the Police”.
Shelby is described as being 5 foot 2 inches tall with shoulder length brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black jeans, a black Nirvana t-shirt, and black Converse trainers, and was carrying a black rucksack.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lancashire Police on 101.
