The public are asked for any information relating to Christopher McKillop

Police are appealing for help to trace a 33-year-old man wanted in connection with an attempted fraud in the city.

Christopher McKillop is asked to contact Lancashire Police following an incident at the Yorkshire Bank on Orchard Street.

On 10 May at 3.40pm a 92-year-old man was escored to the bank to withdraw £3,200 from his account to pay for electrical work at his address.

Bank staff became suspicious and the man left the elderly gentlemen without him withdrawing any money.

Detective Constable Corina Barton said: “We are very keen to speak with Christopher McKillop in connection with this offence. He is originally from the Pennine area, but is now believed to be in the Blackburn/Accrington area.

“If anybody has any information about his current whereabouts or is in contact with him I would urge them to contact police.”
