One man suffers burns as fire crews tackle Deepdale chemical spillage

Fire crews have been called to a chemical spillage in Deepdale.


One man suffered burns and has been treated by paramedics at the scene.

A Hazardous Materials Unit was dispatched to Deepdale Mill Street after 150kg of sodium hydroxide leaked from containers.

Crews are using specialist breathing apparatus and equipment to dispose of the chemicals.

Firefighters from Bamber Bridge station were called at 3.10pm on Friday.
