A new restaurant is set to open on one of the city’s main streets by the end of the year.

Cosmo Restaurants are currently refitting 127-129 on Church Street with a view to opening by the end of the year.

Operations directory Kan Koo told Big Hospitality magazine the group was expanding to six new sites this year including Preston.

The all-you-can-eat banqueting restaurant covers Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, South American and British cuisine in its global kitchen.

Permission was granted in Autumn 2012 to convert the former shops into the restaurant.

In its application Cosmo confirmed it would open for lunch between 12noon and 3pm on Monday to Saturday, and from 5.30pm to 10.30pm on Monday to Thursday with later opening on Fridays and Saturdays until 11pm. Sunday hours would be 12noon to 10.30pm.

Cosmo’s recently opened its Derby restaurant after spending more than £1m on its interior.
