Police have released a CCTV image of missing Preston teenager Shelby Smith.
Officers have found CCTV footage of the 14-year-old at Preston train station at 3.52pm on Tuesday 13 August – over 24 hours since she was last seen by her mother.
She was in the company of a 19 year old man who police believe she may still be with. Police state they believe Shelby is likely to be in the Blackpool area.
Detective Inspector Warren Atkinson said: “We are growing more and more concerned for Shelby the longer she fails to make contact with her family. She is vulnerable due to her age and I would appeal to anybody that thinks they have seen her or knows where she could be to contact the police.
“We believe she has made her way to the Blackpool area and could be in the company of a 19 year old man who is described as white, around five foot 10 inches tall and of very slim build with blue eyes and a shaved head.
“If anybody thinks they may have seen either Shelby or this man they are urged to contact police.”
Shelby is described as being five foot two inches tall with shoulder length, brown hair and blue eyes.
She was last seen wearing black jeans, a black Nirvana t-shirt, and black Converse trainers, and was carrying a black rucksack, although she may no longer be in the same clothes.
Shelby was last seen by her mother at around 2.15pm on Monday 12 August near to B&M Bargains in Preston city centre.
