After last year’s Preston Guild events I think it’s fair to say that Avenham/Miller Park took a bit of a pounding and I for one was a bit worried about the damage done. The wet months of Winter and Spring did nothing to improve the look of the Park either and it’s only now that Summer has arrived that the grassed areas are starting to look good again.
The work to get Avenham.Miller Park ready for the Guild has created a recreational green space that I think everyone in Preston can be rightly proud of and it’s great to see it being used by so many people.
This photograph of Miller Park was taken in the evening from the high path at the rear of the promenade looking down at the fountain area.
