An artists impression of how the Harris could look with the temporary steps

The Harris Flights opening weekend will include a ‘Community Showcase Day’ and the Council is looking for community groups and organisations to come forward and participate in the event which will be located on the Market Square.

Groups are encouraged to be creative and make the most of the space which will be made available on Sunday 18 August between 12noon and 5pm.

Possible activities include:

• Promoting your organisation
• Showcasing you projects and activities
• Exhibiting art work or photography
• Recruiting volunteers
• Raising funds for your group
• Putting on a performance
• Holding a workshop
