A popular cut-through between Fulwood and Ashton is being closed at weekends due to work on a railway bridge.
AdvertisementCadley Causeway will be closed between 7pm and 9.30am on all Saturdays and Sundays between Saturday 27 July to Sunday 1 September.
The current railway bridge is being removed and a new bridge installed.
A diversion will be put in place with drivers urged to use Plungington Road, Blackpool Road and Woodplumpton Road.
For those on foot there is an alternative route from Mill Lane to Lytham Road and then Black Bull Lane.
Preston Bus confirmed the 88A and the 88C will be affected.
During the closure the 88A will operate as normal but go up Black Bull Lane, Plungington Road, Blackpool Road to Lane Ends, Woodplumpton Road then as normal route to Ingol.
The 88C will continue on Woodplumpton Road instead of Cadley Causeway going to Lane Ends, Blackpool Road, Plungington Road to Blackbull Lane and as normal route to RPH.
