Thousands of real ale fans will flock to the Continental for the late May Bank Holiday weekend

One of Preston’s most popular summer events for real ale fans returns at the end of May.

The Continental’s Beer Festival is three days of ales, ciders and food from around the world.

This will be the tenth time the beer barrels have been unloaded on South Meadow Lane and over 100 ales are going to be on offer.

Beer lovers first enjoyed a tipple at the festival in Autumn 2008 and its now grown to see thousands of people visit over the three day event.

Live music will also be on with bands playing throughout the day and evening.

The festival starts from 6pm on Thursday 30 May and runs until midnight on Saturday 1 June.

Opening times on the Friday and Saturday are 12noon to 12midnight.
