The former shop on the corner of St Wilfred Street could become the place to go in Preston’s arts scene
A new arts cafe has been given the go ahead to open in the city centre.
The Project Korova group have been granted permission to turn a former shop into a new centre for artists on St Wilfrid Street.

Sam Buist, one of the team behind the venue, said: “We’re very excited about creating a space where the artists of Preston can congregate to discuss ideas and perform their work.
“We also want to create an environment where everyone from the city and beyond can engage in the arts, while enjoying a good coffee.”
The arts group have an ambitious schedule for opening and are planning to be trading by the second half of May.
The plans were first lodged in February and planning officers approved them and set a condition the venue cannot serve beyond midnight.
The cafe cannot open until ventilation systems and odour control equipment details have been suppled to Preston City Council.
