The Fulwood Leisure Centre in Preston is running a bleep test from 11.00am.
Only 15 places will be available for this session so try booking early. If it is too late for this session keep looking for future events.
The bleep test (or Multi Stage Fitness Test) is especially useful for players of sports and is used by many organisations and employers to test an individual’s fitness and consists of a shuttle run over 20 metres (although some are now using the 15 metres).
The test is conducted on a flat surface and is a progressive maximal test, which means it starts easy and gets increasingly harder. Those who have done the test know all too well how hard it is.
The bleep test is a cardiovascular/endurance test rather than speed.
Personal trainers will also be available from 10.00am to offer a variety of fitness tests including:
Body Mass Index (BMI)
Blood pressure
Body composition
Flexibility tests
Core function
Chester step test
Cost £2.50
