On 13 March meet international field hockey ace and Olympic bronze medal winner Kate Walsh and London 2012 Paralympic Games volleyball star Rob Richardson.
They will be in converstaion with award-winning Sports Journalist and author Sue Mott at the Universtity of Lancashire (UCLan) Greenbank Lecture Theatre in Preston.
Sue has covered all the major sporting events including the World Cup, Olympics, Wimbledon, Commonwealth Games, Athletic World Championships, FA Cup Finals and several Test series and host what should be an entertaning night.
Kate Walsh led England to a bronze medal at the 2010 World Cup and gold at the 2010 Champions Trophy tournament and although during the 2012 Olympics she had surgery to insert a titanium plate for a broken jaw she went on to lead the team to a bronze medal, Britain’s first Women’s field hockey medal for 20 years.
Rob Richardson made his Paralympic debut at the London Games in 2012 and captained the men’s Sitting Volleyball team which finished in 8th place. He is the Captain of the Great Britain sitting volleyball team and under Rob’s captaincy since 2010, the team has gone from a ranking of 56th to their current position in the world’s top ten.
