An evangelical church is set to open just after Easter, provided an emergency change of use application is approved.
AdvertisementThe Potters House Church is due to move into a new home on Wednesday 3 April for its first service but a mistake in the planning process could stop their new building opening in time.
The church, who are turning the first floor above the Dulux paint centre on Garstang Road, are converting the space into a place of worship, cafe and place for their community.
The original application changed the former office space into a place of worship but they now wish to have a mixed use premises.
Potters House have outgrown the current church building on Moor Lane and need somewhere to house their rapidly growing congregation.
The church is part of a pentecostal movement that started in Arizona in the 1970s and now has 1750 churches in 112 countries.
They hold services every Sunday morning and evening, plus a service on a Wednesday evening.
