Supporters enjoy Gentry Day in the away end at Brentford
Hundreds of Preston North End fans made the trip to Brentford at the weekend and donned their bowler hats for it.
Gentry Day is an annual event in the North End calendar as supporters show their support for all those connected with the club who have passed away in the last 12 months.
Preston Supporters Group organised the day and the players also got involved wearing hats during their warm up.
John Kelly from the Supporters Group said: “Despite the result it was a brilliant day with nearly 900 North Enders descending on the capital. The atmosphere was brilliant with many Brentford fans commentating on what a great idea Gentry Day is and that it is very unique.
“The players also came out for their warm up wearing bowler hats prior to giving them out to the supporters.”

The day came about when former Preston boss said PNE fans were “the best, they are the gentry” in the 70s and fans began wearing bowler hats in tribute.
