In these trouble economic times with retail stores seemingly closing on a weekly basis it is encouraging to see a new business trying to crack the market in Preston.
Welcome to The Hidden Gem, opening 1 March 2013.
The new Hidden Gem restaurant, occupying the site of the former Marietta and Persian Palace restaurants, is located next door to Rumes Bar & Nightclub on Church Street in Preston and offers everything from fine Italian Cuisine to traditional English food (including a Silver Service Sunday Roast).
The restaurant features a Swiss Raclette Unit said to be unique to Preston The unit with granite-stone grill top grills small pieces of meat, seafood, vegetables, while it melts cheeses on trays below. They remind diners to request to reserve the unit when booking a table and, for a reasonable price, you can choose and cook your own food at your table. Great for a party!
Andrew Neale, the 27 year old Company Director says: “The Hidden Gem enables me to bring a selection of my favourite dishes together under one roof. The best part? It’s in my home town.
“Virtually every dish on the menu has a story behind it – or has been inspired by countries I’ve visited or by the people I’ve met – even the traditionally British Beef Stew & Dumpling dish has actually been inspired by an African friend I was once privileged to work alongside!”
The Hidden Gem will also occasionaly offer BOGOF, 51% off meals, free bottles of beer & glasses of wine with your meals. They ask you sign up to their e-newsletter for more info on the offers.
Staff Passes are also available with a 20% discount. Visit here for more information.
