It may seem a while off yet but the Caribbean Carnival needs your help!
Set to take place in May with the King and Queen costume contest on 18 May 2013 and the carnival itself on 26 May 2013 the event is now in its 40th year making it, we think, the longest continually held Caribbean carnival in the land.
To help continue on for the next 40 years the carnival is asking for help from volunteers or groups in the community to make it work.
You can help Preston Caribbean Carnival by getting involved setting up carnival day, handing out flyers, helping at workshop, booking Equipment or sharing your skills in Health Safety, Event Management, Security or in whatever way you can. You can even join the committee and help shape the carnival.
There are opportunities to learn new skill and develop you as a person also you will make new friends on the way.
The carnival is also looking for help from businesses with sponsorship, materials, equipment, transport and venues. In return they offer advertising space on flyers, banners and their website.
So please help support carnival in any way you can including spreading the word.
