Police detectives have released an Evofit of a man they would like to speak to following a burglary at a house in Preston.
Between 1.35pm and 1.55pm on Wednesday 5 December 2012, a man forced his way into a house on Skeffington Road by kicking the back door in.
Once inside he began to make his way upstairs, however, unbeknown to him, a 20 year old woman was upstairs and when she made herself known he ran off empty handed.
The 20 year old woman wasn’t hurt in any way; however she was left incredibly shaken by what had happened.
The man is described as Asian, of medium build, aged approximately 20 years old and was around 5’ 8” tall.
He also had a beard and was wearing dark clothing with a hooded shell suit style jacket with the hood up.
Detective Constable Danny Greene said: “This was a terrifying incident for the woman involved, having to come practically face to face with a man who’d just broken into her home.
“Thankfully he didn’t get anyway with anything, but the intention to steal was definitely there.
“If anybody recognises the man in the Evofit I would ask them to contact police. I would also like to speak to anybody who feels they have any information which could assist with our investigation.”
Anybody with any information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
