Santa will be setting himself up a grotto in the city Market this Christmas.

He started up on Saturday 1 December and will be there every Saturday up until 22 December.

The grotto is free to visit and is on the upper floor of the Indoor Market.

Every child will receive a small gift from santa.

Dave Bullock, Markets Manager, said: “Preston Market is a fantastic place to get everything you need for Christmas, from food and decorations, to cards and gifts.

“We are looking forward to having Santa’s Grotto inside the market and I’m sure local children will be very excited about meeting the man himself.”

The grotto is open from 11am to 3pm on Saturdays.
