The building requires millions of pounds worth of refurbishment – a cost the council says it cannot afford.

Channel 4 news reporter Ciaran Jenkins presents arguments for and against demolition of the ‘landmark’ building. In his short video there are soundbites from Leader of Preston Council, Councillor Peter Rankin, Sally Stone from the Manchester School of Architecture and chats with members of the public on a Preston bus.
