This week’s Preston in the Picture shot features – well to be honest, I don’t know what it features. I was out and about around the docks looking for some inspiration and a photograph for this week when I spotted these strange coloured shapes in the entrance to Preston Dock. I don’t recall seeing these before and judging by the bright new colour, I guess they haven’t been down there too long.
I’m sure there will be some profound nautical meaning behind the shape and colour but I can’t help thinking they look like something out of a children’s TV programme.
Perhaps someone can leave a comment and tell us all what they are?
Having done a year of weekly Preston in the Picture shots I thought I’d launch into something different next week – a downloadable ‘desktop wallpaper’ featuring Preston scenes and landmarks. Rather than weekly, these will be monthly photographs and each one will feature a calendar for the following month as part of the picture.
So, next week you can download the very first of these monthly pictures and get your computer wallpaper complete with January 2013 calendar. Check back next week to see which image I’ve chosen.
