Something great is happening on the high street in Preston, in the past few months the city has seen Wonderland Vintage Boutique, Retro Rehab and now the Kilo Stop opening.
Kilo Stop is unique in that they stock new, second hand, designer, vintage and high street clothing which is priced by the kilo. So if the item has a red sticker it costs £15 per kilo, if it has a green sticker it costs £20 per kilo. Of course you can buy less, for instance I picked up a white faux fur jacket for just £9.
The shop, situated across from Debenhams, was opened four weeks ago by Sabhoor Qureshi who wanted to create something different on the high street. He told me all the clothes are steam cleaned before they hit the shop. As well as womens wear Kilo Stop stock mens and children’s wear, so. Accessories are priced individually. If you fancy having a browse before Christmas be quick, the shop is closed over the festive period from Sunday 23rd Dec and reopening on Wed 2nd Jan 2013.
