Are you a passionate fan of Preston Bus Station?
A BBC researcher is looking for local Preston people who believe that the building should continue to be part of the Preston skyline rather than be demolished.
The World Monument Fund says the bus station is among 67 heritage sites across the world added to the list of treasured places at risk. But Preston Council has earmarked the building for demolition as part of a proposed redevelopment scheme.
The ‘baroque cathedral for buses’ has many fans but most agree if the station is to be closed, the building should be suitably restored and tied into a much more intimate redevelopment that retains the sculptural grandness.
There’s no pressure to appear on camera as a short friendly telephone call is likely to be all that is needed.
