This is a beginners jogging group led by Helen Clitheroe, ideal for getting away from your desk at lunchtime, taking in some fresh air and local scenery and improving your fitness all while having fun.

Sessions are 20-40 mins depending on the group ability. You don’t need anything just a pair of trainers.

Helen Clitheroe (2 times Olympian and current European Indoor 3000m champion) has agreed to play a leading part in getting Lancashire running. She has agreed to become an ambassador for the project and to act as an advocate for the benefits of beginner running with a selection of Athletics/Running clubs in Lancs.

Helen said: “I’m very excited to be supporting the Run Lancashire groups and to be able to lead one myself. They are a great introduction to running and are fun and friendly sessions that go at your pace and help you to improve over the weeks.”

“All you need is a pair of trainers and you can get going. Whether it is round the park at lunch with us, after the school run or in the evening with friends everyone can give it a go and improve their fitness as well as having fun and making new friends.”

Run England is the official recreational running project of England Athletics
