Kirsty Henshaw among the winners at the 2012 Lancashire Business Awards

Kirsty Henshaw appeared on Dragon’s Den to win funding for her food business

Preston firms came out to celebrate last week at a glitzy bash for the 2012 Lancashire Business Awards.

Hosted by Downtown Lancashire in Business on Thursday 15 November it saw the great and the good of the business community come together.

Hays Recruitment Specialists won Best Large Business of the Year while PR firm The Write Angle won two awards.

Kirsty Henshaw of Worthenshaw’s scooped Woman of the Year while Steve Broomhead from Recycling Lives was Man of the Year.

Downtown chief executive Frank McKenna said “The Lancashire Business Awards has always been a fantastic event that recognises some of the organisations that make the county great from the creative, legal, financial and hospitality industries to business and finance specialists.

“Downtown Lancashire in Business is delighted to have hosted another successful awards evening celebrating the very best of our business community. A huge well done to all our winners.”

Woman Of The Year: Kirsty Henshaw, Worthenshaws Ltd
