Back for another year. The award winning Christmas displays at Barton Grange are now open and they really do have to be seen to be believed.

At Christmas, the Garden Centre is a Winter Wonderland of sparkling ideas and inspiration. Whether you’re decorating your home and garden, or buying gifts, you’ll find everything you need amongst their breathtaking displays – which have won ‘Best in UK’ for the past five years.

The theme this year is ‘Once Upon a Christmas Time’ and the displays have been inspired by some classic children’s books.

Here you’ll find Harry Potter, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, hidden treasure, a house of sweets and so much more. The lovable dancing snowmen are back and they have once again created their mountain landscapes to show off the popular village collection. There is plenty to see for visitors of all ages.

Each dazzling display has its own colour theme and combines decorations with furnishings, tableware, seasonal floristry, tasty treats and lots of fun. There’s a huge selection of co-ordinating lights, for indoors and outdoors, plus an extensive range of artificial and fibre optic trees and villages. Fresh Christmas trees will arrive in late November.

There will be a magical grotto which opens in December and seasonal menus in both the restaurants.

This year, the fabulous Light and Sound Spectacular returns with a new show called ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’. It’s a wonderful interpretation of this lovely Christmas poem set to music and lights, which will dazzle and amaze young and old alike.

The light show will play every 15 minutes during our late night openings, which start on Monday 19th November. From then on, you can see it every night, Monday to Friday, until Friday 21st December.

The first show will be at 5pm and it will be repeated every 15 minutes until the last show at 7.30pm. Each show lasts about seven minutes. There’s no charge so you can go as often as you like.

There will be a Hot Pot Supper served in the Riverside Cafe during late nights only for just £2.95.

Please note: the light show includes fast-moving and flashing lights.
