The nations best takeaways, restaurants and chefs were announced at this year’s Takeaway.com English Curry Awards 2012.

Over 450 guests attended the awards ceremony including Member of Parliament for South East Bolton Yasmin Qureshi, Amir Khan and his Fiancé Faryal Makhdoom, Emmerdale TV Soap stars Matthew Wolfenden and Charley Webb.

The awards were presented by Sunny and Shay from the Bafta nominated Chanel 4’s ‘The Family’. Sisters in fusion, SonAash performed for our guests with a brilliant classical dance which was later followed by a mixed bollywood fusion.

Preston was represented in the regional awards

Taking the Regional Takeaway of the Year award for the North West was Spice King, Ronaldsway, Preston

Finalist for the North West Restaurant of the Year was Double Tree Indian Restaurant, Garstang Road, Preston
