Victorian Avenham Park, very rarely interrupted from its old fashioned quaintness was rocked by a trio of sequin covered and leopard skinned wearing chart topping songstresses last Saturday afternoon .

One part of the free Preston Guild 2012 G-Fest mini music festival, Stooshe, the three-piece English R&B girl group from London belted out their back catalogue which included ‘F***k Me’ (later reworked into the less direct and more PC ‘Love Me’), ending with the sublime dramatic ballad ‘Black Heart’ with the classic line ‘Daddy I’ve fallen for a monster, Mamma he’s the best I ever had’ – like you would tell your mamma that!

Tagged by some as ‘Slutty Supremes’ the all-girl trio certainly have attitude. And have a future that’s as bright as a very bright thing indeed. Preston can be very proud to say they saw them before they hit the BIG TIME.
