Preston man charged with attempted murder

Paul Walerysiak, 51, of St Gerorges Road, Preston is due to appear before Preston Magistrates this morning (Friday, September 21st) charged with attempted murder.

Police and paramedics were called to an address at Low Croft, Woodplumpton at shortly before 9pm on Tuesday (September 18th) after reports that a woman had received what appeared to be stab injuries.

On arrival they found a 52 year old woman who had suffered an injury to her neck and a number of injuries to her arm. She was taken by ambulance to the Royal Preston Hospital and is now recovering.

A man was arrested at a separate address a short time later
