Peter Hook is the bassist with New Order

Preston’s university has teamed up with New Order legend Peter Hook to launch a new music course.

Hook and Ministry of Sound director Tony Rigg will be offering one-to-one mentoring as part of a UCLan course in music industry management and promotion.

The course will be based in the city’s Media Factory building and will teach students how to carve out a career in the music industry.

Hook was one of the founding members of Joy Division before going on to start New Order.
