Preston university teams up with New Order’s Peter Hook for music course

Peter Hook is the bassist with New Order

Preston’s university has teamed up with New Order legend Peter Hook to launch a new music course.

Hook and Ministry of Sound director Tony Rigg will be offering one-to-one mentoring as part of a UCLan course in music industry management and promotion.

The course will be based in the city’s Media Factory building and will teach students how to carve out a career in the music industry.

Hook was one of the founding members of Joy Division before going on to start New Order.
