The first of the two women wanted by police in connection with the incident
These are two women being hunted by police after a pensioner was conned out of her bank card.
The 87-year-old woman from Fulwood was returning home from the city centre on the 88c when the incident occured on Saturday 7 July around 1pm.
She got off the bus at the Boys Lane and Kings Drive stop and was followed off by two women.
One of the women produced a large map of the UK and asked the pensioner to direct them to Chorley.
While the woman peered over the map another of the women reached underneath the victim’s loose fitting rain coat and pinched the bank from card a shoulder strapped purse under the coat.
The two offenders thanked the lady for her help and went off. The pensioner returned home and realised the card had been stolen.
PC Adam Kelsall from Preston police said: “Clearly these people deliberately targeted the elderly victim and exploited her kindness and vulnerability. It has left her shaken, upset and has understandably dented her confidence.
The women both bordered the 88c from Fishergate
