A direct link with medieval Preston, the traditional proclamations of the Guild are made direct to the Preston public from the steps of the Harris Museum and tell everyone that that the Guild Court will soon take place. The Second Proclamation had a miltary theme. Civic leaders got togther with service personnel for a parade and a guard of honour for Paralympic Flame Ambassador, Preston’s Dave Watson, to carry the Paralympic flame as it visits Preston for one day only.

As ever, Blog Preston regulars were there to cover the event.Local photographer Bernie Blackburn captured the scenes.
