Keep on keepin’ up: John Farnworth wants Prestonians to help him set a new world record
A Preston lad will be attempting to break the world record for the largest mass keepy up event as part of the Guild celebrations.
John Farnworth, 26, will be hosting a football event in Frenchwood Park on Saturday 8 September.
He needs 2,012 people to turn up and help keep a football up in the air for 10 seconds to smash a world record.
Farnworth, who already holds five Guinness world records, is calling on everyone to get involved.
He said: “We need you. If you think you can keep a football in the air for just 10 seconds and you want to be a World Record holder, then I need you.
“Everyone is welcome to come and join in Brothers, sisters, mums and dads.”
