A new arts project aimed at finding out how Preston can be the “best, most liveable small city”.
AdvertisementFor eight days a group of creatives will take over an area of the first floor of St George’s Shopping Centre to ask Prestonians if they feel like Preston is even a city.
Residents will be able to leave their thoughts via a map, audio booth, blog and by writing on a wall in the centre.
A dedicated website at www.thenthecity.co.uk will host all the photos, ideas and questions.
A spokesman for They Eat Culture, who are behind the project, said: “The project will continue throughout Autumn and beyond, asking questions about life in Preston, finding out about what its citizens want to do and see, and learning about how people want to shape the city.”
Anyone interested can go along from 10.30am to 5.30pm from Saturday 1 September to Sunday 9 September.
