Drivers in the North of the city are being warned to keep their cars secured after a spate of thefts from cars.
Lightfoot Lane and Wychnor have been targeted, with sat navs, handbags, wallets and CDs stolen from ten cars.
The incidents took place in the early hours of Wednesday and Thursday – with all the cars left unlocked or unsecured.
PC Alan Melling, of Preston CID, said: “The items were taken overnight and unbelievably all the ten cars that were targeted by the criminals were left insecure.
“I am asking residents of the city, especially in Fulwood and Ingol, to make sure that theirs cars are locked and items of value are not left in sight.
“We will continue to look for the person or group responsible; however, the community can help us by not giving criminals the opportunity to steal.”
