An explosion of acrobatics will take over Preston as a French circus leap into town for the Guild.
AdvertisementCompagnie Bam will perform a one-hour performance of their jaw-dropping show ‘Switch’ in the big top at Avenham Park.
The show on Monday 3 September promises to fuse traditional and contemporary circus.
Stella Hall, festival director for Preston Guild 2012, says: “We are very lucky to have Compagnie Bam coming to Preston as part of Preston Guild 2012, and their spellbinding show ‘Switch’ will really be something to behold.
“This will be a great value event, and families will be hard-pressed to find a more exciting day out this September.
“We hope that the people of Preston are as excited as we are to be welcoming such an amazing contemporary circus to our city.”
Performers from the troop will also be entertaining crowds during the Trades Procession on Saturday 1 September.
Compagnie Bam are formed of graduates from the French circus school of Chalon and are based in Amiens.
Tickets for the show are £5 for children, £6 for adults and £20 for a family ticket (2 adults, 3 children).
