Police have stepped up patrols on a Ribbleton estate due to youth annoyance in the area.
AdvertisementLocal residents on Robin Street have made complaints about youths trespassing into gardens, making noise late at night and being verbally obsence.
Preston police have responded with more officers on the street and issuing five acceptable behaviour contracts to children in the area.
Mark Douglas, Community Beat Manager for St Matthews Ward, said: “These anti-social actions by a minority of youths on Robin Street are totally unacceptable.
“We will be working with responsible residents and Gateway Community Housing to make sure it is fully tackled. If it persists, we will then be able to look at more drastic options including re-examining the tenancies of the parents and guardians of the youths involved.”
