A live deaf storytelling event takes place in a Preston arts venue this Friday.

The show, Postcards from Preston, is put on by deaf actors using British Sign Language and an interpreter for hearing audiences.

Preston past, present and future will be the subject of the show at the The Continental’s arts space on South Meadow Lane.

Philippa Merricks from Deafway said: “This is a great opportunity to be told stories from the point of view of a deaf person through British Sign Language. This is an inclusive event – all are welcome and the stories promise to be interesting, engaging and entertaining for all.”

The show is free and starts at 7pm on Friday 11 May.
