Blog Preston on the iPad
Blog Preston readers are increasingly accessing our content on their iPhone, iPad and Android devices. We’ve got a mobile site, but for those of you who are accessing Blog Preston on the move we thought we’d create something a bit more special and convenient.
So we’ve created a Google Currents edition of Blog Preston. For those that don’t know, Google Currents is an app that’s available on the Apple App Store and the Android Market which allows you to subscribe to a wide range of publications and newspapers and read them all in one place.
To subscribe to us, download the app depending on whether you have an Apple or Android device, and then visit the sign up page by clicking the banner below.
You’ll then be asked to read our content in Google Currents, which means you’ll have access to some great content that we’ve put together. At the moment, the edition has sections that cover:
News
Video
Great photography from the Preston Flickr Group
Local Events
Arts
Council News
This may well change in future, as we’re able to edit Currents editions in real time.
For example, we could bundle together some Guild content when things like G-Volution happen, or other topical news. Once the edition reaches 200 subscribers it’ll be available in the Currents store simply by searching, so give it a go.
We’re open to suggestions as to what to include in the edition, so give us some feedback and ideas in the comments below if you think something is missing, and we hope you enjoy it.
