Jamelia steps in to sing Preston Passion finale

Pop star Jamelia has stepped in at the last minute to replace Heather Small in the Preston Passion.

Small, lead singer of M People, had been due to sing Candy Staton’s classic You Got The Love in the finale of the live BBC show – but has pulled out after contracting an illness.

The Passion mixes live music and drama to re-tell the story of Christ’s last days in a contemporary city.

The show will feature thousands of dancers and volunteer performers and be hosted live by Fern Britton.

It also forms part of the Preston Guild celebrations.
