A Sunday afternoon spent walking the dog turned into a nightmare for one Ribbleton resident last month.
AdvertisementPolice are appealing after a man was threatened with a handgun by two men on the footpath alongside Sulby Drive.
These terrifying images show the two men, at around 2pm on Sunday 18th March, producing a small, black handgun, and pointing it at the victim before running away.
The man who believed to have threatened the victim has been described as white, between 18 and 20 years old, around 5’11” and of medium build.
The victim said the man who threatened him was clean shaven with short, brown hair and was wearing a dark brown, knee length pair of shorts, white trainers, a grey hooded top and a brown and white t-shirt.
The second man was white, aged between 18 and 20 and was slim with short, brown hair.
DC Andrew Crook of Preston CID said: “At this stage it is still not clear if this was a real firearm or an imitation but either way this is an extremely serious offence and we are very keen to trace the people involved.
“If anyone has any information at all that could assist with our enquiries then I would ask them to contact us as soon as possible.”
