Real ale fanatics are preparing for the 19th year of the city’s annual beer festival.
The official Preston Beer Festival starts on Thursday 15th March at St Walburge’s Church Hall in Ashton.
Under the 309ft spire of the church beer lovers can sup ales from around the UK and beyond.
Funds raised go towards restoring the church as well as covering the cost of putting on the festival, it starts at 7pm on the Thursday and entry is £4.
Doors are 7pm on the Friday night, where there will be live music and a raffle – entry goes up to £5.
Saturday is an all-day session, with the doors opening from 12noon and not closing until 11pm and it is £4 in.
Sunday, for those still wanting more, is 1pm to 3pm and is free to those with a festival glass or a donation is advised.
