The Bus Station has been nothing short of controversial in relation to the future of the city centre, but these new images show its architectural side.
It might provoke opinion to knock it down or keep it standing, or somewhere in-between, from nearly every Prestonian – but a professional photographer has attempted to capture the building in black and white.
Known only as Ho, he found himself in the city with 30 minutes to spare so went on a quick-fire shoot around the bus station.
He said: “George Grenfell-Baines was a mate when I was a kid. I knew the bus station when it was first opened. There’s a risk it might be pulled down for a new scheme or just left to rot.
“I had an opportunity to visit Preston and spend half an hour snapping and being very sedately and politely chased by the bus station’s security guard.”
You can see more of Ho’s photos of the bus station on his Posterous website.
