Police in Preston have arrested a teenager in connection with a shooting in Ribbleton earlier this week.
AdvertisementA 23 year old man was shot in leg on Bowness Road, Brockholes, at around 11.15pm on Tuesday.
At lunchtime today detectives swooped on an address in Ribbleton and arrested a 16 year old boy on suspicion of attempted murder.
DCI Andrea Barrow from the Major Investigation Team said: “An investigation is underway into the circumstances of exactly what has happened. I would urge anybody that witnessed anything suspicious in the Brockholes area on Tuesday night or with any information that could assist with our enquiry to come forward.”
Superintendent Stuart Noble from Preston Police said: “Lancashire Constabulary takes incidents such as this extremely seriously and we are carrying out a full investigation to bring those responsible to justice. This is an isolated incident but we continue to have a number of reassurance patrols in the area.”
