Weather forecasters predict end of the week snow showers for Preston

Weather forecasters are expecting snow in Preston and across Lancashire later this week.

A severe weather warning has been issued by the Met Office from Thursday evening and continuing into Friday.

Snow showers are expected to start from around 6pm on Thursday evening and last throughout Friday and into Saturday.

Gale force northwesterly winds will come with the snow showers, leading to an arctic blast for the city, and the potential for higher ground around the Preston area to see snow drifts.

The Met Office has caused for people to be aware and expect travel disruption. They have issued advice for those worried about cold weather on their website.
