A Preston club will be allowed to serve alcohol until 3am all week, despite being in a council saturation zone.

Fishers Bar, previously known as Wall Street, will extend its hours after Preston City Council’s licensing sub committee approved them last week.

The bar is within the city centre saturation zone, which seeks to limit the number of venues selling alcohol in the area.

Fishers Bar faced objections from Lancashire Police who said the area was already suffering from high incidents of crime and disorder.

The club, on Fishergate, was recently refurbished and will now be allowed to open until 3.30am every night of the week if it chooses to.
