Pregnant woman and son go missing from Avenham

shona blundellA pregnant woman and her young son have gone missing from Avenham.


Police in Preston are appealing for help in tracking down Shona Blundell, 24, pictured left, who has not been seen since the end of September.

Ms Blundell, who also goes by the name of Jessie Blundell, is 24 weeks pregnant, and has her four year old son with her.

She was last seen at an address in Avenham around 8pm on Thursday 29th September and police believe she may have traveled back to Northern Ireland.

PC Mark Brady from Preston Police said: “Shona is a vulnerable young woman and is pregnant with a young son to care for. I would urge anybody that thinks they have seen Shona or know where she could be to contact Preston Police.”

Ms Blundell is described as white, of medium build, dark brown hair likely to be in a ponytail. She speaks in a mild Irish accent.

Shona has family and friends in Preston and has also previously lived in Blackburn.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police on 08451 25 35 45.
